IRINA KURTISHVILI

Geboren 1966 in Tbilissi, Georgien. 1983 -1989 Studium Malerei, Graphik und Szenografie an der Staatlichen Kunstakademie Tbilissi mit dem Abschluss als Dipl. Szenenbildnerin für Film und Fernsehen. Anschließend Set Designerin bei Filmstudio „Georgien Film“. 1994 -1997 Postgraduiertenstudium an der Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln. Danach Arbeit als freie Illustratorin und Grafikerin u.a. für den TV-Sender WDR. 1998 - 2005 Lehrtätigkeit an der ifs, Internationalen Filmschule Köln und am Institut für Medienwissenschaft, Ruhr Universität Bochum. Production Designerin für Film und Fernsehprojekte u.a. „Die große Depression“ 2005, „Das Ende der Arbeit, Halleluja!“ 2011. Lebt und arbeitet als freischaffende Künstlerin in Köln und Tbilissi.
